Read the expectations below for a clearer understanding of what will earn you a decent grade:

 Grade of A

Always arrives on time

Completes daily tasks.

Is helpful and self-motivated.

 

Grade of B

Is late, unexcused*, 4 or fewer times during the trimester.

Completes assigned daily tasks after being reminded

Checks and completes the list of library assist duties only after being reminded.

 

Grade of C

Is late, unexcused*, 5-8 times during the semester.

Partially completes assigned daily tasks.

Partially completes the list of library assist duties

 

Grade of D

Is late, unexcused*, 9 or more times

Does not complete assigned daily tasks

If a student is earning a grade of D, we will conference with his or her counselor, and recommend that the student be assigned to another class.

 

  

Library Assist No-nos

 

These behaviors are not allowed: 

1. Sitting and visiting with your friends

2. Letting your friends sit behind the check-out desk.

3. Leaving the library without telling the librarian.

4. Using the circulation desk computer for anything other than book check-out or to search the library catalog.

 

 

 

*A tardy is excused with a written and signed note from your previous hour teacher, the nurse, or a school administrator.

 

A student assist may use library assist time for homework after completing the daily checklist.
